CrossFit Games 2010 – What Is A “Burpee Wall Jump”

What is a burpee wall jump?  After the final event of the 2010 CrossFit Games, none of the competitors will ever forget.  The brief videos below show the women athletes completing a rep of the wall burpees (aka over the wall burpees).  The black mat the athletes are working out on had been in direct sunlight for the entire afternoon and it’s temperature was later measured at 129.5 degrees!  The athletes had no idea what the exercises were going to be prior to the event so those who showed up shirtless and without any hand protection paid the price.

Videos are below the breakdown of the final event:

Final Individual Event 2010 CrossFit Games

30 push-ups with hand release

Three rounds for time of:

Athletes will move from one event to the other with no break. Each event will be scored separately.
