Pretty much since January 1st, 2011 I’ve been planning on doing a monthly training update. This was partly because I’m a narcissist and think everyone is interested and partly to keep myself accountable to the goals I set at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, it’s the end of April, I’ve yet to write a post on my training and barely remember my goals. So, in lieu of an actual update I’ll post this picture of me and my buddy Dusty since swinging a 70lb kettlebell makes me look like a serious beast and standing next to Dusty makes me look even smaller than my childlike 126 pounds (and thus even more beast like in relation to the kettlebell).
True confession time: Although I managed to hang tough for the picture, that 70lb kettlebell crushed me (luckily, not literally). This was part of an AMRAP workout at CrossFit East County and after the first round Dusty kept up the pace, despite K2E’s being in the mix and quickly moved ahead.
